Your guide picks the break each morning based on swell, tide and your level. These are the ones within reach:
- Punta Fishermans — out front. Fun right-hand point, not hollow, rarely crowded. All levels. There's also a sandbar left about 200 m east.
- Punta Roca — under 10 minutes. Long, powerful right point. Advanced.
- El Sunzal — 15 to 20 minutes. Long, mellow right; good on a longboard. All levels.
- La Bocana (El Tunco) — about 20 minutes. Rivermouth left with punch. Intermediate to advanced.
- El Cocal — about 10 minutes. Right over rock, swell-dependent, light crowd. Intermediate to advanced.
- El Zonte — about 30 minutes. Relaxed right point, softer on the inside. Intermediate.
- K59 — about 35 minutes. Fast, consistent right with hollow sections. Intermediate to advanced.
Nobody can promise waves. El Salvador is surfable year-round and the main swell season runs April to October. If conditions aren't safe, your session moves to another day of your stay.
Where you're staying
Fisherman's Resort Life is a six-apartment condo hotel on Playa Las Flores, on the La Libertad coast — the stretch of El Salvador known as Surf City. The airport (SAL) is about 37 minutes away.
You get an apartment, not a hotel room. The Deluxe Studio has a double bed and a sofa bed. The One Bedroom Suite has two beds and a sofa bed and works well for three.
There's a pool, our own restaurant, and the ocean in front. Reception is open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm every day. El Tunco is about 20 minutes by car when you want a night out.
We are not an all-inclusive resort
Here's exactly what you get, so there are no surprises. Your package includes breakfast and dinner every day at Fisherman's Bistro. Each meal comes with a natural fruit drink (refresco natural). Lunch and any other drinks are on you — eat with us or anywhere along the coast.

FAQ
How do I get there?
Fly into El Salvador International Airport (SAL). Your driver meets you at arrivals and it's about 37 minutes to the property. The private transfer is included both ways, for up to five guests per vehicle.
Is this the Las Flores point break?
No. That wave is in eastern El Salvador, at our sister property, Las Flores Resort. We're on Playa Las Flores in La Libertad, Surf City, minutes from Punta Roca and El Sunzal.
What level do I need, and can I come solo?
Any level. Your guide matches the break to how you surf. The package is priced for two guests; if you're traveling alone or as a group of three or four, message us before booking.
Are boards included?
Not in guided sessions. Bring your own or rent one from us. Surf lessons do include a board; ask us when you book.
When should I come?
You can surf here all year. The main swell season runs April to October, with bigger and more consistent waves. November to March is smaller and friendlier for learning.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
You pay 50% when you book and the rest before arrival. Cancel 14+ days out for a free date change, full credit, or a refund minus a 4% fee. Inside 14 days there is no refund; 13 to 4 days out you keep a 12-month credit.
